Whole Home Generator

This project included the installation of a panel in the detached garage, whole home generator, and Tesla electric vehicle charger. Credit goes to the homeowner for digging the trench and installing conduit, pouring the concrete pad, and help pull wire, which was a huge help! This 26kW generator is fueled by propane and creates over 100 amps of power for lights, appliances, heating, and air conditioning. The automatic transfer switch senses when utility power is no longer present, and sends a signal to the generator to start. Once the generator is warmed up, the transfer switch engages, feeding the main panel in the home - it can even charge the Tesla!
